In 12 days my new adventure begins as I set off for Aubenas, France. In 12 days I will be settling into my home with my new UC Aubenas teammates and beginning my second European season.

Immediately after I arrive, we have two team training camps. The barely above zero temperatures in Aubenas aren’t too inviting but I am looking forward to hitting European soil and being part of a team again. The real racing, however, doesn’t begin until February 17th with Tour du pays d’Aix. Looking ahead at the rest of the race calendar, this year holds the promise of hilly terrain which is a welcome change from last year’s flat, Belgian kermis races. With route profiles more suited to my abilities, I am looking forward to a season filled with some really good hard racing.
